It's like a GoPro for kids!
[[VIDEOID:67dfc2b695e497e3bda2e04aad0cf178]] While this isn't a perfect action camera by far, this is the perfect action camera for kids. It's easy to use. You can take it pretty much anywhere: in the air, underwater, you name it. It floats, and it's just about indestructible.
My family took it to a hotel with a swimming pool and a water park to test it out. My husband and I used it to make sure we put it through its paces, and it came through no matter what we did to it. The video included here was shot with this camera. As you can see, we took into a swimming pool and into the water. We threw it up in the air. When it landed in the water, it floated, making it easy to retrieve. We took it down a water slide. We even filmed a hot tub--underwater. We also gave it to our daughter, and her footage came out great. (The only reason why we haven't included it is that she recorded kids she met, including one kid who did a great job hamming it up under water, but we didn't want to post photos of any kids without their parents' permission.) Every time my daughter filmed, kids came up to her and asked her what she doing. When she told them she was filming them, they all said, "Cool!" Some kids asked for and were given a go. You know a toy is a good toy when every kid wants to play with it.
The video quality, as you can see, is about as low as it gets, but that doesn't really matter. What does matter is that this is a great toy and that it gives little kids a chance to use a cheap action camera without any fear that it might break. Highly recommended.

so they can document as much as they like. We haven't yet left for vacation
[[VIDEOID:a4d95be9bf177280d5c40f67175b75d]] Purchased three of these (in three colors) for my grandkids, ages 4, 5, 6 to use on vacation - with the requirement that they document and make a move or slide show of our vacation. We will upload the pics and video every night, so they can document as much as they like. We haven't yet left for vacation, but I wanted to test the quality and ease of use of one of them, so I picked my grand daughter's purple one as the guinea pig.
Opened the box, plugged in the camera to charge for about an hour, switched the little 0/I button to "I", inserted 32Gb SD card, and headed out. I ordered class IV cards, but the recommended speed is class VI. This doesn't seem to make any difference, the photos snap quickly, as does the video. The sound is surprisingly good, when thumb isn't covering the bottom openings. I left the quality set at Medium, thinking there might be a desire by the kids to play with the effects, which are not supported at the highest setting. If looking at the video, please keep in mind, there is thunder rumbling in the background, which I recorded intentionally, just to see what subtle sounds it can detect. The sky was rather grey, which came across nicely in the video, the colors are pretty true for the overcast sky.
Both video and snapshot are okay when expanded to half screen, but not much beyond that. I should try the "high quality' settings just to see how they are, but as it stands, for $45 including sim cards, I believe these little cameras will provide hours of fun and spark creativity for aspiring artists.
Will post in one of the other "colors" after we return and get some reviews from the actual users! I'd like to see how well these hold up at the beach, kayaking the sound, biking around the island and climbing lighthouses.

Easy to use, durable and fun, but limited in some important ways.
By Micheal Mathews
As far as durability and kid... proof-ness? This is a great little camera.
Since i got this through the vine I figured i should let my 5 year old just go to town on it.
I didn't show her how to use it and i didn't give her any instructions on taking care of it. We just charged it, turned it on and handed it over to her.
With-in about 10 minutes she was taking pictures, playing the games and had figured out how to apply effects and overlays.
Next up she asked me about the waterproof casing so i handed that to her to see if she could figure it out.
Unfortunately that proved to be a bit tricky for her little hands but after I showed her a couple times she figured it out, though she still had some trouble with the latch.
We have submerged it and dropped it and gotten it dirty at the park and it's no worse for the wear.
So here's some gripes;
Without a card the available ram fills up immediately. You almost NEED to buy a memory card to use this camera.
The resolution is very VERY low, 640x480, which is tiny and will not print out to look like much more than a blurry pixellated mess.
The video feature is tons of fun but again, the resolution is really low and if your kid is expecting Go-Pro style footage, they might be let down.
The attachment for bike handles is a little tricky and will need some adult assistance the first few times.
The attachment for helmets and other flat surfaces uses the same permanent stick-um that you get with bathroom hooks that peels the paint off when you try to remove it. In other words it's "One Time Use" stuff. You can attach it to one thing and that'll be it.
It does attach to the PC via USB port and act's as a drive so file transfer is quick and painless. It's plug and play.
It also uses the standard USB mini port to charge that my phone does so I can charge it up with any of the cords around my house or in the car.
Overall it's a toy, its a fun toy that's easy to use but don't buy it expecting your kid to be uploading impressive skate trick videos to youtube.
Super easy to use
Lots of fun features like games, effects and overlays
Plug and Play for file transfers to your PC
Accepts Micro SD cards for memory expansion
Water proof casing for pool fun or playing in the rain.
Very limited Space (needs a card)
Clip on attachment is one time use
Very low resolution pictures and videos
Poor audio quality
End of the day, my daughter loves it. She's 5 and really likes having her own little camera. She takes pictures of my butt and laughs. We've probably done 100 interviews so far, "So dad... how was your day?" with a camera in my face, still hasn't gotten old.
I feel like its a little over priced right now but I am glad we got it.
Tough call, but worth considering as long as you know what you're getting into.
